Great experience. 29 September 2015

Waters expounds on all the themes we already know regarding The Wall. He has successfully melded a brilliant film version of his 2010-2013 world tour with new, personal insight into what The Wall is all about, and how its themes are still relevant today. Yes the road trip scenes of him and family/friends visiting his father and grandfather's European war graves come over a little heavy-handed at times, but there's convincing emotion in his demeanor during the scenes which conveys a genuine urge to make viewers think about the messages he wants to impart, regarding the suffering caused by war, injustice and the politics which cause those things.

Combined with a technically-perfect portrayal of his hugely ambitious recent live shows, this film will please old fans and entice newcomers alike. It also inspires confidence in his recently-announced plans to make a new album.

Together with a recently-released new album and tour from Dave Gilmour, there's plenty more mileage yet for the rock legacy that Pink Floyd leaves behind.
